Max V. Mathews developed MUSIC I (1956), the first digital audio synthesis program; Brian Eno popularized 'generative music' in 1995 with SSEYO's Koan software; and David Cope's Experiments in Musical Intelligence (EMI) system (1980s-1990s) analyzed and recomposed music in various styles.
