The virtual iPod is triggered when a user attempts to load a broken page on the Apple Music website, displaying an interactive interface beneath a 'page not found' error. This interface mimics the original iPod's click wheel navigation and includes a library of 1,029 songs, though playback is limited to 90-second previews.
