Ripple acquired crypto custody firm Metaco for $250 million in May 2023 and prime brokerage Hidden Road for $1.25 billion in April 2025 to strengthen its institutional capabilities. Robinhood also acquired crypto exchange Bitstamp for $200 million in June 2024 to expand its global crypto operations and institutional services.
