Moderna's mRNA-1345 RSV vaccine (mRESVIA) received global regulatory approval in 2024, becoming the first non-COVID mRNA vaccine to do so, demonstrating 68.4% efficacy in a Phase 3 trial for adults aged 60 and older. mRNA technology is also being explored for HIV, with several candidates in clinical trials aiming to elicit broadly neutralizing antibodies.
