Steinem co-founded the National Women's Political Caucus in 1971 to increase women's political participation, the Women's Action Alliance in 1971 to support grassroots feminist efforts, and helped establish 'Take Our Daughters to Work Day' in the 1990s through the Ms. Foundation for Women.
