The top 3

  1. Integration of Maturin into 'A Story of Derry': Maturin appears in an ethereal form to guide the Shokopiwah tribe on how to contain the ancient evil entity 'It.' His presence is established through a ritual involving 'Maturin root,' allowing characters to commune with the cosmic entity.
  2. Contextual Evolution from Easter Eggs to On-Screen Debut: While previous adaptations used subtle 'turtle' motifs and symbols to allude to Maturin, this episode provides a formal introduction to the character. This shift was designed to feel natural within the show's narrative by framing the turtle's appearance within a dream-like, substance-induced encounter.
