In the US, The Clearing House, owned by 25 of the largest financial institutions, announced an initiative to connect on-chain activity with traditional payment rails for tokenized commercial bank money, targeting clearing and settlement at scale. Additionally, 39 US state banking associations formed the BankChain Alliance to build a nationwide blockchain network for banks, aiming for a 2027 launch.
