Top 3 Neil Young Albums for Indie Influence

Critics and musicians alike point to these three albums as the primary blueprints for the modern alternative and indie rock sound.

The top 3

  1. Harvest: The Acoustic Blueprint: The gold standard for songwriting simplicity, influencing two generations of folk-rock and indie singer-songwriters. Harvest
  2. Rust Never Sleeps: The Noise-Rock Archetype: Divided between acoustic and distorted electric, this album defined the 'loud-quiet-loud' dynamic perfected by bands like Pixies and Nirvana. Rust Never Sleeps
  3. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere: The Jam Foundation: Featuring Crazy Horse, this record established the template for the long, wandering, feedback-drenched guitar jams indie bands still emulate today. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
