In 1985, Soviet cosmonauts Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Viktor Savinykh undertook a highly risky mission to manually dock with and repair the unpowered, tumbling Salyut 7 space station, restoring it to operational status in what is considered one of history's most impressive in-space repairs.
