Singapore leads the 2026 Henley Passport Index with 192 visa-free destinations, ahead of a three-way tie at 187 between Japan, South Korea and the UAE.

  1. Singapore: 192 Destinations, Still Untouchable: Singapore retains the No. 1 spot with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 192 of the world's 227 destinations.
  2. The 187 Club: Japan, South Korea — and Now the UAE: Japan, South Korea and the UAE share 2nd place at 187 destinations each, making the UAE the first Middle Eastern passport ever to reach the podium.
  3. Europe's Chasing Pack: Sweden at 186, Seven at 185: Sweden ranks 3rd with 186 destinations, while Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland cluster just behind on 185.
