Discovery of Neutrino Oscillation

Neutrino oscillation, where neutrinos change 'flavor' as they travel, was first hypothesized in 1957 by Bruno Pontecorvo and conclusively observed by experiments like Super-Kamiokande in 1998 and the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) in 2001-2002, proving neutrinos have mass and solving the solar neutrino problem.
