There’s a Free Video Editor Inside Google Drive That Anyone Can Use

You may not have noticed everything Google’s free software suite offers—especially a web app called Google Vids.

The top 3

  1. Functional Capabilities and AI Integration: Google Vids operates as a web-based editor accessible directly via Google Drive. It supports various creation methods, including using templates, uploading existing footage, or generating content through AI tools like the Veo 3.1 model for video generation and AI-driven avatars.
  2. Usage Scope and Technical Boundaries: Designed for hobbyist and personal tasks, the software is not intended for professional, high-resolution, or complex multitrack editing. Its interface relies on a timeline-based system that allows users to manage audio/video tracks, transitions, and overlays within a browser-based environment.
